Please note that the weather stations at the local High schools do not
seem to report snowfall very reliably or very often. Use the SNOTEL stations
to see actual recorded snowfall amounts in the Valley.
Middle Park High School.
This weather station in Granby CO is at an elevation of about 8000 feet.
Tabernash
This weather station is in the Winter Park Highlands, half way between Devil's Thyumb Ranch and Snow Mountain Ranch is at an elevation of about 8700 feet.
Stillwater Creek SNOTEL.
This SNOTEL station is located above Lake Granby on Stillwater Creek at an
elevation of 8720 feet and gives a measure of snow depth in the north end of
the Fraser River Valley.
Arrow SNOTEL.
This SNOTEL station is located above the old Idlewild Nordic Ski Area at an
elevation of 9680 feet and gives an indication of snow depth in the south end
of the Fraser River Valley.
Winter Park Resort Forecast
This is the six day Forecast for the Winter Park Downhill area at an Elevation
of 9000 feet. This seems to be the most acurate forecast for the valley.
It is a little higher then Devil's Thumb Ranch and Snow Mountain Ranch,
so the snow fall predictions may be high and the high temperature a little low.
It is only updated once a day.
