An introduction to guiding visually impaired cross country skiers Saturday, October 14, 2023 at YMCA of the Rockies, Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center
Join Mark Birdseye, Paralympic Cross Country Ski coach and Michael Stone, visually impaired cross country skier and biathlete at the Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center for an introduction to guiding visually impaired cross country skiers. This 6 hour (9am - 3pm) Dryland Guide Clinic is for those that would like to learn to guide visually impaired in a training and racing environment. You will also get to experience and introduction to visually impaired biathlon. The purpose of this event is to educate participants about Paralympic Nordic skiing with a focus on visually impaired athletes and growing the number of guides for the increasing number of visually impaired athletes coming to Grand County. Please come prepared for outdoor activity. Lunch is on your own. A donation to support Grand Nordic can be given at the door.
